The 2023 RCI Champion has been Crowned!

On the beautiful morning of April 29th, three teams gathered at the prestigious Ronald Callahan Golf Invitational for an intense day of competition. Thad’s Team, Mike’s Team, and Jared’s Team all brought their best game, determined to come out on top.

Despite some cloudy skies, the rain held off for most of the day, allowing the players to focus on their swings and strategy. As the day progressed, it became clear that the competition was going to be fierce. Mike’s Team gave it their all, but unfortunately fell short with a score of 1 over par.

Jared’s Team and Thad’s Team, on the other hand, were neck and neck until the very end, both scoring an impressive 1 under par. In an unexpected turn of events, the two teams found themselves tied for first place, marking the first time ever in the history of the Ronald Callahan Golf Invitational.

With the tiebreaker looming, tensions were high as each team member stepped up to the challenge. The tiebreaker was a “closest to the pin” contest, and each member of both teams chipped from about 30 feet. In a nail-biting moment, Thad Callahan managed to get his shot within 5 feet of the pin, securing the victory for his team.

The winners of the Ronald Callahan Golf Invitational were Thad and Ryne Callahan, Caleb Goldey, and Kallie Burchett of Thad’s Team. It was a great day of golf, filled with excitement and camaraderie. Congratulations to Thad’s Team on their impressive victory and thank you to all others for making the event a great one. We will start to get prepared for the Western Open in September!
